The Puja Committee of SHANGHAI ADDA, organised its 3rd Durga Puja celebration at Shanghai .

As you are all aware, Durga Puja - the most important festival of the Bengalis - is a celebration of life, culture, popular Indian customs and traditions .

In 2007, thousands of miles away from home, a small group of enthusiasts in Shanghai had dreamt of recreating the magic of Bengal on this part of the globe during the Puja season.

The idea was to make us all feel at home and enjoy the warmth of this rich and gracious occasion with the entire Indian community of Shanghai , if not China .

During the last two years, even with our limited resources, it has been quite a fruitful pursuit on our part to organize Puja; and without the help and support of our friends and well wishers all across, the transition of our dream into reality would have never been possible.

Another highlight of this year's Durgotsav was popular bollywood singer, Keka Ghoshal, who performed live for Shanghai Adda.

The Indian Association of Shanghai, our sponsors, management of Bukhara and the activists of Durga Puja committee, put in their efforts to make it a grand success.
