Voyage to Planet Suzhou begins...
On a cold but bright and sunny winter afternoon in Shanghai, we boarded the chartered bus that would take us to Suzhou. Celebrations began the moment the last of our picnickers got onboard. Drinks, music, munchies & cookies got us in the party mood from the word go. The streets of shanghai would have rarely seen such a sight... an entire bus full of Indians dancing to Hindi tunes!

Our ship docks in...
Once we reached the hotel, everyone checked in & quickly got ready for the night ahead. Dressed in our finest, a quick ride by bus took us to Zapatas, near Jinji Lake. The food was a Mexican fanfare - the nachos, quesadillas, burritos kept coming in and everyone dug in.

It’s the time to disco..
The DJ could not resist and got into the mood and soon it was Bollywood on the dance floor. In the midst of Bollywood disco tunes, we danced and the whole of Zapata joined in.

The Oasis of Jinji...
After a good breakfast in the hotel, we headed out to Jinji Lake. The lake was beautiful, with the weather holding on. Good time to soak in the view and capture the moments with cameras clicking everywhere.

Alien game rituals...
A round of Tambola, outdoors on the side of Jinji Lake was most enjoyable and fun.

The Lord calls...
We started the year with Indian lunch at the Ganesha restaurant. May the prosperity of hot naans, butter chicken and paneer tikka carry on in this New Year!

Homeward...
All tucked in nice and warm in the bus, we headed home. A memorable journey with friends and family, that we will cherish for long.
